Event Id 100 And 400 On Vista Ultimate 64 bit

please i need help and i dont find any information to solve this issue everytime i turn on my pc it takes like 1 minute to boot after i see the vista boot logo with the sliding bar at the bottom, i dont know what to do or how can i fix it, everything was fine until i installed some windows updates 5 days ago, i tried system restore but unfortanelly i only see the last 3 days so theres no point to do that.........also when i turn my pc off it takes some time to turn completley off, not as much as when i turn it on....then i checked event viewer and in performance, i get this :

please i already searched for information about how to fix this on the web and i havent find anything even on the microsoft's website, my computer was fast to boot and now its not due to those updates i think, but im not sure.....everything else works fast....games, encoding, this is my only problem....

Well any number of things could of caused it, conflicting drivers or conficts in general from the updates.

Make a back up of your files do a fresh install, and monitor what windows update chooses to install, only install updates for the programs you use.

Your problem seems to be with the Windows Session Manager SMSS that then calls upon winiit.exe which in turn then starts the Local Security Authority(Lsass.exe) and services.exe services. One of the security enhancments of Vista over XP is randomized address allocation of where in addres space DLL runs from during boot to prevent buffer overflows and such nasty stuff. This is managed by Address Space Load Randomization (ASLR).



Anyway in your case this process seems to be delayed with around 100 seconds which is really bad. The most common cause of this is external HDD's. If you have one try to boot with it disconnected and also disconenct all other USB and FireWire units and see if it helps. Also make sure you have not forgotten any CD/DVD in the optical drive or any memory card or USB stick still connected.

Try this. run CCleaner or similar, than defrag your boot sector, reboot 2 times.
