Dual DVI can handle more bandwidth than a single DVI which means you can get a higher resolution. But Dual DVI vs single DVI at the same resolution (such as 1680x1050) there will be no quality difference. DVI is better than DualVGA. And as far as I know HDMI vs DVI is the same in video quality but HDMI supports audio.
There is a war going on for your mind.

Also, DVI and HDMI are both digital, so there's virtually zero signal loss. Because it's also digital, it means that these "uber quality gold plated" HDMI cables you can buy are a ripoff. A $10 cable is the same as a $100 cable!
VGA is analogue, so if you run it next to, say, power and audio cables, it might get some interference. Plus, it can't push through as much bandwidth as DVI or HDMI.

Simply put:
HDMI is designed for home theatre systems (TVs, BluRay players, etc), and carries both video and audio.
DVI is designed for PCs, and carries video only.
However, you do sometimes see them converging sometimes. Some TVs and set top boxes have DVI ports, and some computer monitors have HDMI ports.
