I don't think there is a test mode, Maybe something to do with your User folder? Try copying to the User/Desktop folder using the windows explorer.

Well, I would guess it was "Turned on" because of the Beta period is over...So there gonna annoy the heck out of you by putting that on the desktop...

My suggestion is that it has the same effect as the Windows "Watermark" that has the Build and Version info in it...

I was using XP then bought Vista from best buy. It appeared after I was downloading drivers to try to get my sound to work. Now I don't know how to get rid of it. What do I do with the User/Desktop thing? This only shows up if I use a picture as the desktop, if I put just a solid color on that comes with Vista the text goes away.

[windows key] > type cmd | press CTRL+SHIFT + ENTER (to enter an elevated command prompt)

    > type bcdedit.exe /set testsigning off then press ENTER > Restart your machine. Voila, gone

Hello, I have the exact same problem only when I tried to correct it with these instructions, nothing happened when I hit ctrl+shift+enter. So I tried to enter the command anyways and it says, "The boot configuration data store could not be opened. Access is denied." Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
