I just purchased a Nvidia 8800 and it should be here by the weekend and I can't wait. I will be posting some screenshots of games after i get it and have Directx 10. Anyone else have an 8800 and if so can you post some shots?

You already have DirectX 10, it's included in Vista and you probably won't see any difference in any games yet, there are'nt really any DX10 games out yet.

Although DX10 comes with vista, you need a gpu that supports it to be able to use it.

You guys should see the Crysis development video, the graphics in it are amazing. The engine is ridiculous.

I just built my new system around the Evga 8800 GTX card. Can't wait for the games to come out for it.

At the moment, you won't see any significant changes in todays DirectX 9.0 games (although some people do say you may get "spiffier effects" in some games). It will be when DirectX 10 games come out that you will see the real potential of the 8xxx series cards, although some games are said to be getting a DirectX 10 patch, so far I only know of Company of Heroes and Supreme Commander that are getting DX10 patches (Company of Heroes is a definite).
